Torrey Pines Bank names John Harelson Manager of New Office in Carlsbad

SAN DIEGO – Torrey Pines Bank has announced that John Harelson, Vice President and Commercial Lender, has been named Manager for its Carlsbad office, a 7,920 square foot office slated to open in 2007 in the Bressi Ranch planned development.

“John brings nearly 20 years of practical experience serving San Diego business clients and is firmly poised to head up our newest location” say Bank President & CEO Gary Cady. Harelson, who recently graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School, has been with Torrey Pines Bank since 2004 and has been instrumental in expanding the Bank’s market share in the Carlsbad/Vista/San Marcos market.

“This market is ripe with small and middle market companies and we feel we have the sophisticated banking tools to help these business owners achieve their financial goals” says Harelson. “We have the capacity to serve clients who require large capital but operate with the community bank spirit to provide solutions quickly so customers can stay focused on their business.”

As Vice President and Manager for the Carlsbad office, Harelson will be responsible for solidifying relationships in the business community and market share penetration for commercial and consumer banking products and services including deposit services, business banking, cash management, loan origination and underwriting, and other ancillary banking products.

Harelson has recently joined the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce and will sit on the ambassadors committee. Additionally, Harelson serves on the Carlsbad Boys and Girls Club, where he was recently awarded with the Volunteer of the Year Award by the North County Philanthropic Council. Harelson graduated from Oregon State University in 1989 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
